My Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative and client-centered, drawing from a diverse range of evidence-based modalities to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs. I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build psychological flexibility, manage distress, and develop healthier coping strategies. With a strong emphasis on attachment-based, relational, and trauma-focused interventions, I support clients in understanding the impact of past experiences on their present emotions and relationships. Through mindfulness-based techniques, existential exploration, and emotionally focused work, I create a compassionate space where clients can deepen self-awareness, process emotions, and move toward meaningful personal growth.

Types of Therapy I Can Help With

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based approach that helps individuals accept difficult thoughts and emotions while committing to actions that align with their values. By fostering psychological flexibility, ACT empowers clients to break free from unhelpful patterns and live a more meaningful, fulfilling life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and unhelpful behaviors. By challenging irrational beliefs and developing healthier coping strategies, CBT empowers clients to manage anxiety, depression, and other challenges more effectively.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a structured, evidence-based approach designed to help individuals process and reframe unhelpful beliefs related to traumatic experiences. By identifying and challenging distorted thoughts, CPT empowers clients to reduce the emotional impact of trauma and regain a sense of control over their lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based approach that helps individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and develop healthier coping strategies. By integrating mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, DBT fosters balance between acceptance and change for lasting personal growth.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) combines mindfulness practices with cognitive strategies to help individuals break free from negative thought patterns that contribute to stress, anxiety, and depression. By increasing awareness of the present moment and developing a nonjudgmental attitude toward thoughts and emotions, MBCT empowers clients to respond to challenges with greater clarity and resilience.

General Therapy

I offer a range of therapy approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including attachment-based, relational, and trauma-focused therapies that explore past experiences and their impact on present emotions and relationships. By integrating emotionally focused, existential, person-centered, psychodynamic, and coaching techniques, I help clients gain deeper self-awareness, process emotions, and create meaningful change in their lives.
